DWF's Energy Sector sees global expansion with market growth

04 June 2024

DWF, the global provider of integrated legal and business services, has seen its Energy Sector team rapidly expand with the addition of 7 new hires in the past 3 months.

Recently realigning its Global Energy Sector team to advise on energy projects from beginning to end, DWF draws on experts from across the global business, in multiple countries, to provide clients with a tailored service in order to help them deliver on their ambitions for net zero, decarbonisation and sustainable and secure energy generation, storage and supply. The global energy sector is said to be worth circa $1.5 trillion in 2024, with the advancement of subsidy-free low and net zero carbon energy generation and storage technologies.
Due to these and other significant developments in renewable energy generation and storage and the global energy transition, DWF's Global Energy Sector team has made several key hires in the UK and its international offices to bolster its already robust Team in order to address increased demand from clients. Energy experts joining the business in the past 3 months include, Franco D'Andrea, Gary Walkling, Jayne McGlyne, Jonathan Kirkwood and James Bryce in the UK, with Francesco Angelini joining in Rome, and Claudio Rodriguez working across multiple jurisdictions in the UK, Europe, and Latin America.
DWF will soon launch its Renewables and Net Zero Carbon International Atlas, which will assist clients in identifying growth opportunities in the international renewables sector, highlighting key markets that are best placed to initiate the expansion of renewable and net zero carbon energy projects.
Speaking on the team growth at DWF and wider developments in the market, Darren Walsh, Global Head of DWF's Energy Sector, said, "With the climate emergency, the drive for sustainable and secure energy, and the push for responsible and sustainable business, our clients demand a fully integrated, global and sector-focused service to meet their growth ambitions. The growth in our Global team reflects where the market is headed and the opportunities many companies in the sector will face in the years to come. DWF's Global Energy Sector team is best placed to support and advise clients in this essential part of their business strategy."
