Famously known as the ‘home of the Titanic’, having been the headquarters of the White Star Shipping Line, the grade II listed hotel consists of 63 bedrooms together with a rooftop Champagne Bar & Restaurant. The hotel was purchased out of administration.
This acquisition marks the first venture by RIMC Hotels & Resorts, the leading international hotel group, into the UK hotel market, and brings its portfolio to 32 hotels throughout Europe.
DWF advised on the full scope of the transaction, led by corporate partner Alan Barnett, and supported by corporate senior associate Alex Stoughton. Real estate advice was provided by associate, Oliver Palmer, whilst licensing advice was provided by senior associate David Crank. Tax advice was provided by associate Alex Tolcher, and employment law advice was provided by solicitor Gurvinder Bains.
