DWF advises Equiniti Group plc on agreement to sell share trading platform

DWF has advised Equiniti Group plc on the disposal of the EQi direct-to-consumer customer business of Equiniti Financial Services Ltd to interactive investor (ii), for up to £48.5m. 
The sale to ii, one of the UK's largest direct-to-consumer investment platforms, is expected to complete this summer. 

The DWF team which advised Equiniti on the sale was led by partner and Head of Corporate, Frank Shephard, alongside senior associate Francesca Kinsella, associate Rebecca Gargary, partner Ben Cooke, associate Andrew Carr and Helga Breen, London Head of Employment. Andrew Jacobs and Robbie Constance from the Regulatory Consulting team also advised.

Frank Shephard said: "We are very pleased to advise our long-standing client Equiniti on this significant transaction. Once completed, the proceeds will contribute towards reducing net debt and will strengthen the balance sheet."
