Paul is CEO of the Global Legal Advisory division at DWF.

Working as a part of the retail and professional services sector teams, Paul provides exemplary legal advice across mergers and acquisitions and private equity and venture capital transactions.

Ranked as a leading corporate lawyer in both Chambers and Legal 500, Paul provides corporate and commercial advice to businesses ranging from SMEs to large corporates. He has been involved in some of the highest profile deals in recent years across the region including:

  • The acquisition of Crown Paints by Endless LLP.
  • Acting for the management of Pets at Home in respect of the sale of that business to KKR.
  • Acting for MSIF in relation to the sale of Vitaflo to Nestle.

In 2012, Paul was appointed as interim General Counsel of one of the largest pension funds in the UK, giving him first-hand experience of the role of the GC and a deeper understanding of client needs.


In 2013 Chambers and Partners described him as "a superb lawyer with immense patience, integrity and technical strength" and "an expert in private equity transactions". In 2014 they described him as "a trusted adviser, who is solution-focused and very flexible and commercial in his approach".
