DWF adds senior hires to London corporate team

08 March 2024

DWF, the global provider of integrated legal and business services, has recruited Jayne McGlynn, partner, and Richard Wood, head of legal due diligence services, in its growing corporate team in London.

Jayne McGlynn joins DWF after 11 years at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, where she spent the past three years as a partner.

Bringing over 15 years of experience advising on M&A, joint ventures, strategic investments and corporate governance to her new role, Jayne has worked across a variety of sectors including telecoms, technology, financial services, and life sciences.

After 13 years at PWC, where he spent the last seven years leading its legal due diligence services team, Richard Wood joins DWF in London as head of legal due diligence services.

With over 20 years of expertise in corporate law, Richard typically advises multinational corporate clients, private equity firms and their portfolio companies on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, investments, joint ventures and corporate reorganisations.

His work includes a variety of buy-side work and vendor due diligence reviews across a range of industry sectors, as well as advising on global corporate reorganisations and high-volume contract reviews.

These latest arrivals build on the recent promotion of Raeesa Chowdhury to partner in DWF's London corporate team.

Raeesa specialises in international and cross border transactions including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity and corporate reorganisations. She has advised a wide range of clients from SMEs to large multinational companies with a particular focus on the insurance and financial services sectors.

Commenting on the latest appointments, partner, Paddy Eaton, said: "I'm delighted to welcome Jayne and Richard to DWF and to congratulate Raeesa on her recent promotion. This shows growth and real momentum within our London corporate team.  Jayne and Richard bring valuable expertise that will undoubtedly enhance our corporate team's capabilities and further solidify DWF's position as a leader in the industry.”

Jayne commented: “I’m delighted to be joining DWF and look forward to contributing to the continued success and growth of our corporate practice, alongside such a talented and forward-thinking team. I look forward to bringing my significant expertise across a variety of sectors including telecoms, tech, financial services, and life sciences and can’t wait to get started.”

Richard added: “I am excited to become part of DWF and help drive forward impactful change within our corporate due diligence practice. I'm looking forward to working with our expert team to ensure that we are at the forefront of sustainable business practices and responsible corporate governance in today's global landscape.”
