Matthew Williams has joined DWF's London office where he will work with the business's finance and restructuring team to strengthen its existing capabilities.
Matthew, who was formerly a banker specialising in loan trading and portfolio management, has significant expertise in loan acquisitions and portfolio sales, including having also advised on some of Europe's largest Non-Performing Exposures and Non-Performing Loans transactions. He is recognised for his experience in distressed debt and special situations as well as forward flow arrangements, capital management and loan distribution transactions.
Matthew will be leading the business's move into this part of the loan market, working in tandem with the existing team, and with Mindcrest and Connected Services, to offer a fully integrated global platform to clients.
Iain Shurwood, Global Head of Finance & Restructuring at DWF, commented, "We are delighted to welcome Matthew to the group. This is another exciting hire for the London team as Matthew brings with him a wealth of experience along with a skillset that is complementary to our growing London team and will further strengthen our offering to our clients."
Matthew Williams also commented, "I am excited to be joining a progressive global business like DWF and working as part of their national and international capabilities. DWF operates a truly unique and integrated platform to support clients through innovation at a key time of change within the legal service industry. I am looking forward to working as part of the Finance and Restructuring group to further support both clients and DWF in their growth."
