DWF’s Mary Nemeth shortlisted for Women in Law Awards 2020

10 November 2020
Mary Nemeth, DWF’s Australian Head of Litigation and Insolvency, has been named as a finalist in the Partner of the Year - SME Law category in the Lawyers Weekly Women in Law Awards 2020.
Commenting on the announcement, Mary said it was a great honour to have been personally named as a finalist but that the nomination was also indicative of her team’s hard work and dedication to securing positive client outcomes.

“Since joining DWF in March 2019, I have been impressed by both the businesses’ commitment to its clients and culture of innovation. As a legal professional with over 20 years’ experience, I can say with confidence that the calibre of the team is second to none and while I am thrilled personally for this nomination, I am also honoured to work with such a talented group of people who help make it all happen.”

Mary brings more than two decades of experience to DWF and has deep expertise in large-scale commercial litigation, dispute resolution and insolvency spanning various industries and sectors including SMEs, financial services, and property. Her practice extends to commercial and consumer lending, compliance advice, anti-competitive conduct advice, security audits and certification of security.

The finalist list, which was announced on 4 November 2020, features over 260 high-achieving female legal professionals across 31 submission-based categories.

DWF Asia Pacific Chairman Mark Hickey said: “DWF has a reputation within the industry for being an innovative and agile legal business. We attract some of the best talent in the country and it is always a great result to see members of our team recognized for the excellent work they do. On behalf of the business, I’d like to congratulate Mary for the nomination and wish her best of luck on the award night”.
