DWF Pledges support for UN Global Standards as it continues to tackle LGBTI discrimination

06 February 2019

DWF continues to back LGBTI inclusion by adopting the UN Standards of Conduct for Business on Tackling Discrimination Against LGBTI People.

Alongside more than 230 of the world's largest businesses, DWF has made a global commitment in support of the UN Standards which aim to tackle discriminatory practices in the workplace, the marketplace and in the community.

Stephen Miles, CEO of Commercial Services, and Executive Sponsor for LGBT+ Inclusion at DWF, said: "At DWF we recognise that in half the world LGBT+ rights are not protected, but we strive for all our colleagues to have access to equal opportunity and respect wherever they are located. Our support to LGBT+ inclusion is a vital component of our culture, values and future growth."

Fabrice Houdart, United Nations Human Rights Officer and co-author of the Standards, commented:By becoming one of 232 early supporters of the Global LGBTI Standards of Conduct for Business, DWF shows leadership in embedding human rights in its corporate culture and sends a powerful signal to the legal industry globally.”
