DWF has science-based targets approved by the SBTi

01 July 2022

DWF is pleased to have our global 2030 net-zero target verified by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) as we double down on efforts to reduce our impact on climate change.

The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) is a collaboration between CDP, the United Nations Global Compact, World Resources Institute (WRI) and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF).

The SBTi defines and promotes best practice in science-based target setting and independently assesses companies’ targets.

DWF now joins 1000+ companies in setting science-based climate targets.

This SBTi validation encompasses our climate action targets of reducing Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 emissions by 50% by 2030.

Global Head of ESG, Kirsty Rogers said: "This is a great achievement for us. These targets prove our commitment to our ESG strategy by building a sustainable economy, by doing not what is easy but what is necessary and I hope that we can encourage other businesses to set science-based targets."
