Clêr is an experienced civil litigator and has dealt with police malfeasance claims involving negligence, false imprisonment, assault and malicious prosecution for the past two years for various police forces including the Metropolitan Police Service, Sussex Police, South Yorkshire Police and North Yorkshire Police. Clêr has run a number of complex malfeasance cases to trial.
Clêr has a strong knowledge of civil procedure and personal injury law and previously handled a large case load of clinical negligence claims on behalf of several NHS trusts. Prior to this, Clêr was a member of the legal team representing the Police Federation for England and Wales at the re-ordered Hillsborough Inquests and the concurrent independent investigations by the IPCC and Operation Resolve. She attended the hearing, conferences and assisted counsel by undertaking substantial research and preparing briefing notes throughout the inquest.
