Tim Hoy

Head of Resolution Law // Partner, Liverpool

Tim is a Partner and Head of Resolution Law – the firm's Claimant Services team.

Experience

His team deals with a range of issues including catastrophic Injury and large loss claims, employers and public liability and motor accident claims.

Resolution Law is the branded name for the Claimant Services team at DWF, who have been providing personal injury advice for at least thirty years. We have a specialised team of 70 people providing a full package of services, including referral to medical and rehabilitation experts.

Working alongside his team, Tim handles a high number of claims arising from motor accidents, which are processed within the MOJ Portal. He also works with our specialist Catastrophic Injury & Large Loss Claims team, handling both Multi Track claims of the utmost severity and those which have fallen outside the Portal process. Much of his work is funded by way of pre-event legal expense insurance and he works closely with the firm's insurance partners to provide state of the art MI via our case management systems.

Tim also works on cases brought through other funding arrangements, such as conditional fee agreements with a market-competitive rate in terms of success fee where appropriate. He encourages his team to tailor systems and processes to work with our suppliers to ensure speed of turnaround and bespoke MI. The quality of our service, consistently high client feedback and over 95% success rate in terms of client retention is a source of pride to him.

Tim has been a keen runner since school days. Whilst the passage of time has not decreased his enjoyment of this activity it has considerably reduced his speed.

He has followed the fortunes of Liverpool Football Club for a similar length of time and is still optimistic that the league title will, one day, return to Anfield.
