Stephanie brings 10 years of experience in criminal law to DWF. She has defended clients throughout Scotland in all areas including road traffic offences, assault, sexual offences, domestic offences and embezzlement. She has succeeded in having prosecutions discontinued at an early stage with her meticulous attention to detail and extensive preparation, presenting expert evidence in advance of trial.Stephanie also has prosecution experience, which gives her a valuable advantage in understanding how a prosecution case is built. This insight allows her to identify strengths and weaknesses in the Crown case and to use them to her client's advantage to provide the best defence.
Of note, Stephanie conducted one of the first jury trials in Scotland following the abolition of the not proven verdict.
