Shervin is a data protection and cyber security solicitor and leads the data protection M&A practice at DWF.
He has many years of experience supporting hundreds of clients across all areas of data protection and cyber security. Shervin has been seconded to seven high-profile multinational clients across multiple industries. This has resulted in unique insights into different businesses' management and use of data, and means that he is able to provide pragmatic and commercially-focussed solutions for his clients.
Shervin advises on complex technical UK and global data protection and cybersecurity issues, including drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, advising on all aspects of M&A, the handling of data subject rights requests, as well as providing management consultancy, strategy and risk advisory services on global privacy transformation projects.
Shervin is a co-author of the second edition of Data Protection and Compliance book (published by the British Computer Society) and featured as an expert speaker on FTI’s ‘The Expert Briefing’ podcast episode on Cybersecurity Due Diligence in the M&A process. He has presented at a number of internal and client workshops, and has published multiple data protection articles and insights.
