Jen Burney

Supervising Lawyer (Admitted in England & Wales), Sydney

Jen is a Supervising Lawyer in DWF's Banking and Financial Services team, and is based in our Sydney office.

Jen focuses on acquisition, real estate & development and project finance. Expertise includes senior and mezzanine finance, club and syndicated financings, intercreditor arrangements and alternative capital and special situation finance, acting for lenders and borrowers.

Jen also advises credit support providers on structured and asset finance transactions across a range of industries and sectors including aviation, natural resources, publishing, infrastructure, real estate, shipping, yellow goods and general working capital.

Jen advises on domestic and cross border transactions and has significant international experience, working for several years for a global law firm.

Whilst her children were young Jen took some time out from deal work to be Senior Expertise Lawyer at a top tier global law firm drafting precedents, training lawyers and partners and keeping deal teams up to date with legal and market developments, also participating in the APLMA documentation committee.

Jen is actively involved in document development and transactional process improvement, working closely with DWF's Connected Services division and various clients on related projects in these areas.
