Gerolamo is a lawyer with many years of experience in civil and commercial law, in both judicial and out-of-court litigation. Since 2014, he has been admitted to practice before the Italian Supreme Court (Corte di Cassazione) and the higher jurisdictions.

Experience


Since December 2020, Gerolamo has been a Counsel and Co-Head of the Dispute Resolution department at the Italian office of DWF, after practising since September 2003 (first as an associate and later as counsel) in the litigation and arbitration department of Chiomenti.

The scope of his work is very broad and diverse, covering different areas and numerous types of proceedings, including interim measures and arbitration. Over the years, he has handled a wide range of matters—often sensitive—working consistently also within interdisciplinary teams and effectively proposing substantive and procedural solutions in the best interest of clients. In this context, he has assisted both national and international clients, including corporations, banks, and private individuals.

Among his most recent activities:

  • Assisting an international group, a leader in the renewable energy sector, in a dispute concerning performance bonds issued by an Italian bank in connection with certain construction works.
  • Assisting investors in litigation relating to certain crowdfunding transactions.
  • Assisting a leading platform in the investment, development, and management of real estate assets in a dispute against a contractor regarding a construction contract for the fit out of a property in Milan.
  • Assisting an Italian company in a complex dispute against a foreign company concerning a claim for damages arising from penalties imposed on the client due to the unlawful export of materials abroad.
