Emma Shubrook

Senior Associate, Manchester

Emma is a Senior Associate in the Police, Care and Justice Team team based in Manchester.
Emma Shubrook

Emma is a Senior Associate and joined the Team from DWF's casualty team. Historically, Emma has specialised in high value employer's liability, public liability and motor claims.  She has extensive management skills and a wealth of transferrable skills to capitalise on to expand her practice in police work.  Emma has a particular interest in complex liability, causation and quantum issues arising from a multitude of different types of claims including chronic pain cases and has experience of dealing with inquests and the civil claims following on from that process.

Emma is currently dealing with a claim on behalf of Greater Manchester Police arising from a death, which occurred following police attendance at an incident.

Emma believes that a 360 degree approach is essential in dealing with claims to ensure that insurers, insureds, brokers and any other interested parties are involved in driving the claim forwards to ultimate conclusion whilst addressing specific risk management issues along the way.

Outside of work Emma is usually cooking or eating herself into a food coma, and has a weakness for tasting menus.  She will often be found tackling a multitude of DIY jobs at the old house she shares with her partner, trying to fashion a garden out of a field and travelling to far flung locations combined with plenty of nephew cuddles and theatre trips.
