Deborah Payne

Deborah is a tax solicitor with a broad spectrum of experience across all taxes.


Deborah advises on complex tax issues arising on corporate and real estate transactions and her experience includes advising on employee share schemes, in particular, enterprise management incentive schemes.

She has experience of advising on the tax issues arising on M&A transactions including the structuring of the transaction, due diligence, exercise of share options and seeking tax clearances.

On real estate transactions, she negotiates contracts and advises on stamp duty land tax, capital allowances and VAT including structuring and the use of reliefs.

Deborah is the chair of the West Midlands Women in Tax branch and is a member of the Association of Taxation Technicians and she is currently undertaking her exams to become a chartered tax adviser.
