Experience

Anna-Louise is a Senior Associate specialising in casualty, personal injury and insurance litigation, with extensive experience advising insurers, brokers and insureds in relation to complex and high-value claims. Her practice encompasses a broad range of liability disputes, including employers’ liability, public liability, and fatal accident claims, as well as catastrophic and multi-track personal injury litigation. She regularly manages cases involving significant orthopaedic, neurological and psychological injuries, often requiring the instruction and coordination of multiple medical experts, rehabilitation providers and counsel.

She has considerable experience in assessing liability, causation and quantum, providing strategic advice throughout the lifecycle of a claim, from pre-action investigations through to trial, settlement and alternative dispute resolution. Her work includes drafting pleadings, witness statements, applications and detailed advice on both procedural and substantive issues, including Part 36 strategy, relief from sanctions, summary judgment and strike-out applications. She frequently liaises with insurer clients, insureds, brokers and co-insurers, providing pragmatic, commercially focused advice aimed at achieving proportionate and cost-effective outcomes.

In addition to her litigation practice, Anna-Louise has experience advising on policy coverage considerations, reserve setting, rehabilitation strategy and fraud concerns. She is accustomed to managing substantial caseloads involving competing medical evidence, significant care and earnings claims, and complex evidential issues. Through her role as a Senior Associate at DWF and her secondments with AGCS, she has developed a strong understanding of the commercial priorities of insurer clients and the importance of delivering technically robust advice in a clear, concise and practical manner. She is recognised for her strategic approach to claim resolution, strong client relationships and ability to manage complex litigation efficiently whilst maintaining a focus on achieving the best possible outcomes for her clients.
