Alexander's areas of speciality include Property Litigation, Insurance/Reinsurance, Product Liability and Professional Indemnity.

He represents major insurers, advising on a broad range of liability and coverage disputes, as well as recovery and contribution claims against third parties.

Alexander is experienced in dealing with wide range of civil and commercial litigation, with a focus on property litigation. He has particular experience advising insurers and their insureds on high value construction and property damage matters, arising from third-party liability policies. Alexander has a comprehensive understanding of the competing motivations in the litigation process, given he has previously also acted on behalf of claimants, which he draws on when assessing claims and liability generally.

He has more recently undertaken additional qualifications with the Chartered Institute of Insurance, obtaining a Dip CII speciality in claims in the areas of commercial property, liability insurances, business interruption and advanced claims strategy. Alexander is fully aware of the relevant internal procedures and processes for insurer clients when dealing with claims management, including the requirement for accurate reserving.

Alexander strives to offer his insurer clients practical and commercial advice, seeking to limit their potential exposure by proposing bespoke strategies for resolution of claims, adapted to each particular set of circumstances.
