Lockton had all the right answers as £3,500 raised for DWF Foundation

25 March 2025

DWF, the global provider of integrated legal and business services, brought together the Belfast business community last week for its annual fundraising quiz night which raised £3,500 for the DWF Foundation, which has made more than £1.3 million in donations to charitable causes worldwide.

The event took place at the Black Box Belfast and brought together a full house including teams from banks, property agents and insurance brokers from across NI.

Founded in 2015, the DWF Foundation, an independent charity founded by DWF, is celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2025. It has donated over £56,000 to charities across Northern Ireland and in the past 12 months alone, funding has supported initiatives including: Northern Ireland Hospice, Towell Building Trust, Flourish NI and SistersIN.

On the night, guest speaker Rebecca Preece Babb from Northern Ireland Hospice, spoke about the vital support they’ve received through the DWF Foundation.

Eimhear Lynch, claims advocate at Lockton Belfast, who led the winning team on the night, said: ""The DWF Foundation quiz night was a fantastic event and we were delighted to take part. It was a great opportunity to connect with others across the business community in a fun and engaging setting, and we’re thrilled that our team came away with the win! Most importantly, it was all in support of a very worthy cause and we’re proud to have contributed to such a successful evening."

Julie Galbraith, managing partner of DWF in Belfast, commented: "Our annual quiz night is always a highlight of the year, bringing colleagues and clients together for a fantastic cause. The generosity shown makes a real difference to the charities supported by the DWF Foundation in Northern Ireland and beyond, and we would like to extend sincere thanks to everyone who attended and donated.

"While all of our fundraising teams are winners in my eyes, congratulations must go to Lockton who took first place in this year's quiz."
