In Conversation is a series of webinars focused on the five strands of DWF's Diversity and Inclusion Strategy
Each month we will meet people from around the world that are changing their communities for good through their organisations.
In this first edition we spoke to Kirk Barnett, Founder of The Lighthouse programme.
About Kirk
In 2012 Kirk was married to his college sweetheart, raising two of the cutest kids you have ever seen and had a great job. There was one problem, he was carrying an immense amount of shame for being a closeted gay man. Thankfully in April of that year some events unfolded that allowed him the chance to step out of the closet. After six years he finally started working on himself and learning who he really was. Through this work, in 2020 he launched 'The Lighthouse', a program built around the practice of daily gratitude, positive affirmations, and a growth mindset.
The Lighthouse Project uses group dynamics to create a safe space to allow members to grow and learn to love themselves.
