Senior Associate, Kishan Mangat is a passionate commentator on the importance of ethnic diversity and is a founding member and co-chair of the Insurance Cultural Awareness Network (iCAN), an independent and volunteer-run network that promotes and supports multiculturalism and inclusion across the insurance industry.
Kishan and other insurance professionals, founded iCAN in 2017 as volunteers in order to identify and tackle some of the challenges facing ethnic minorities and those from outside of the UK working in the insurance industry. Their aim was to assist individuals progression into senior roles and attract a diverse talent pool to the sector.

Kishan is also a member of the Worshipful Company of Insurers and sits on the Insurance Women’s Inclusivity Network committee, which focuses on enhancing the role of women in the industry.
Kishan is a specialist litigator at DWF who defends catastrophic injury claims on behalf of large insurers and corporate self-insured companies predominantly in the context of road traffic accidents and employers’ liability or public liability matters related to all aspects of liability, causation and quantum.
She has a particular interest in defending high-value brain injury and amputation claims by adopting bespoke and innovative strategies.
