Event details

The Employment Rights Act 2025 introduces the most significant reform of trade union and industrial relations law in a generation. The changes will affect all public sector employers, including those without a recognised trade union.

This session will cover:

  • Key trade union reforms under the Employment Rights Act 2025 and when they take effect.
  • Changes making industrial action and trade union recognition easier.
  • New rights of trade union access to the workplace, including physical and virtual access.
  • Enhanced trade union protections, including expanded rights for union officials, equality representatives and stronger protections against unfair practices.
  • Practical steps public sector employers should take now to prepare.

The session will focus on the practical impact of the reforms and how employers can manage risk, maintain effective employee relations and prepare for increased trade union activity.
