Experience

Sergio holds a Combined Bachelor and Master of Science in Law from Bocconi University in Milan, with a major in Corporate, Financial Markets and Competition Law. He also obtained a short Master in Maritime and Transportation Law from Altalex in Bologna. His interest towards the Insurance Industry started back in 2016, when he participated in the Montgomery McCracken Walker & Rhoads' Maritime and Transportation training program in New York.

Once back in Italy, he completed his legal training and then started his career in Insurance. Over the years, Sergio has held different roles in the Industry: he first worked as a Claims Handler for a Delegated Claims Administrator ("DCA") with offices in Italy and the UK and then as a Claims Adjuster for a global provider of claims management and outsourcing solutions, with a subsequent secondment to a Managing Agent in London for a six-month period.

Sergio joined DWF Audit in January 2020 as an Auditor, with a promotion to Senior in 2022. Each of the aforementioned opportunities gave Sergio the chance to come into contact and observe different working and leadership styles, as well as to develop cross-functional expertise and skills.
As part of his currently role, he is responsible for undertaking audits of Coverholders with Delegated Authority Agreements and Third Party Administrator (TPA) reviews in the UK, Europe in addition to US and Canada. He also has the ability to lead Large Co-ordinated audits.
Sergio constantly aims at service excellence and believes being a good auditor requires a combination of technical expertise and soft skills.
