Experience
Prior to working in the Professional Indemnity Department, Evie worked in DWF's Occupational Health Department. During her role there, Evie handled a variety of Employers/Public Liability Claims. Evie also has experience handling Property Damage claims.
Evie's experience includes handling a number of leisure injury claims resulting from go karting, skiing and snowboarding accidents. Evie also acted as the sole claims handler for a Care Home business Evie has over eight years' experience in defending and handling insurance claims, including secondment experiences in-house at insurers.
During her secondments, Evie was responsible for the claims handling of a variety of matters including; Professional Indemnity, D&O and Medical Malpractice claims. Recent case examples include: - acting in an accountant's negligence claim relating to incorrect advice on tax relief. - acting for solicitors in a negligence claims relating to an underlying conveyancing matter; - acting in numerous claims against accountants for e.g. incorrect tax advice and errors in annual returns running a specific accountants scheme for insurers; - acting in numerous claims against dentists for e.g. failure to diagnose and treat caries, failure to diagnose and treat periodontal disease and misplacement of dental implants; and - acting for a broker in a negligence claim relating to incorrect advice on level of cover.
