Naomi McMaster

Director, Manchester

Naomi is a Director in the Police and Prison Law Team and she specialises in Article 2 Inquests and high profile complex litigation on behalf of police forces and private custodial service operators.

Naomi has 12 years' experience of representing police forces, public authorities and private custodial service operators. She specialises in Article 2 inquests, civil claims arising out of inquests, misfeasance in public office, prison re-categorisation claims, assaults, false imprisonment, handcuffing, failure to provide medical treatment, stress, bullying and harassment claims and judicial reviews.

Naomi enjoys working closely with clients and draws upon these strong relationships to achieve the desired results. In addition to working within private practice for a number of years, she has worked in-house within both a large police force and a global insurance company and has therefore been able to develop a detailed understanding of clients' requirements and objectives.

Many of Naomi's cases attract public scrutiny and involve complicated legal issues. She has experience of defending claims involving multiple claimants and Group Litigation Orders.

Outside of work Naomi enjoys hiking in the Peak District and is a keen theatre enthusiast.
