Experience
Paul qualified as a solicitor in 1988 and worked in entertainment law in London before moving North to work in professional indemnity litigation.
He has represented a wide spectrum of professionals and their insurers. In the construction sector he has acted for architects, structural engineers, testing engineers, M+E engineers, quantity surveyors, property valuation surveyors, building surveyors and design and build contractors.
Paul has also advised widely on policy coverage issues.
A large part of Paul’s practice has involved liaising with construction adjusters to provide a seamless technical and legal approach to dealing with claims for insurers and their insureds.
As well as litigation, Paul has experience of arbitration and adjudication. He also has extensive experience of mediation as a tool for dispute resolution.
