Experience


Sophie specialises in corporate investigations and criminal prosecutions brought by a range of regulators, representing and defending companies and individuals. Sophie has experience in defending clients in matters involving the CPS/Police, Health and Safety Executive, Local Authorities, Environment Agency and the Serious Fraud Office, as well as representing clients at inquests. Sophie has experience in representing clients from the initial investigation stage, through complex investigations to criminal proceedings and trials.

Sophie's clients range across sectors, most notably in the construction, manufacturing and food industries, in numerous serious and fatal cases.

Sophie also advises clients on compliance with and appeals against enforcement notices. In financial services, Sophie has experience in dealing with extensive and complex multi-jurisdictional investigations, managing wide scale document disclosures.
