Andrea is a specialist physiotherapist and part of the MRM team. She is regularly instructed to:
- Review and analyse medical records
- Source experts for the case
- Source and critique treatment and therapies
- Shadow case manage and participate in MDT's
- Review INAs
Andrea's experience involves complex claims of traumatic brain, spinal, amputation and orthopaedic injury. She is also experienced in advising regarding regulatory matters.
Andrea has a long history of working in healthcare and professional sport. She has worked for the English Institute of Sport with Olympic and Paralympic athletes, The Lawn Tennis Association, Burnley Football Club, Wigan Warriors and Huddersfield Giants. She is a Fitness to Practise panel member with the HCPC and also is a panel member with NHS England.
Recent cases
- Severe brain injury and multiple orthopaedic injuries: Andrea has supported the legal team as a shadow case manager assisting with ensuring appropriate rehabilitation is in place for the Claimant that is effective and proportionate to the case.
- Causation of orthopaedic injury: Andrea has utilised her experience with orthopaedic injuries to advise on the most likely causation of injury following detailed review of all of the medical evidence.
- Regulation: Andrea has utilised her experience whilst working in Healthcare Regulation to advise on the most appropriate actions regarding issues with Healthcare practitioners.
