1. Please tell us about your job role
I've started at DWF in August 2021, as a Digital Marketing Executive. My main part of my role is to be a digital consultant to the wider business, helping them realise what they need to do to best reach audiences online or get their existing ideas off the ground.
2. Why did you join DWF?
I liked the global aspect of the brand and when interviewing for the role I was really taken by the team in place and what they wanted to achieve. The role also provides a lot of variety day to day which I was definitely lacking in previous roles. The team are all really friendly and great to work with, genuinely get on with everyone as well as find them easy to work with.
3. You've attended many learning and development courses, please let us know more about them
I’ve lost count of all the courses I've been to, as I signed up for as many as I could to understand the wider business, meet some of my colleagues and gain new skills.
I’ve really enjoyed the personality types courses, such as DISC or myers briggs. It helps you understand your own communication styles as well as your colleagues. I've applied the learning from the courses in day-to-day work, especially in the account management aspects of my role!
4. What's the best thing about the courses you've attended?
It’s great getting to meet people you wouldn’t usually have a chance to meet or work with. Hearing their examples applied to their own schedule allows me to understand the different responsibilities various roles across the business can have.
5. What do you like about working at DWF?
It’s a place to be professional and take pride in your work but also allows you to have a healthy work-life balance. It’s full of great people so it's fantastic for collaborative working. There is a great L&D aspect where you can have lots of opportunities for formal training, supplementary reading and great on-the-job learning.
