Experience
Toyosi worked as a Higher Executive Presenting Officer, representing the Secretary of State in the First-tier Tribunal. In this role, she appeared in asylum, human rights, and deportation appeals, developing strong expertise in cross-examination, legal submissions, and case management hearings. She frequently managed directions from tribunal judges and advanced complex arguments on behalf of the government.
Alongside her legal experience, Toyosi has undertaken a variety of voluntary and professional roles. She was a care coordinator for the NHS, as an advocate she assisted individuals in making personal independence payment applications to the DWP and completed an internship at the South Centre in Geneva, where she assisted in drafting briefing papers for trade experts. These experiences, combined with her legal training, make Toyosi a well-rounded professional with strong interpersonal skills that greatly assist her advocacy.
