Climate Action

The environment has become a critical business challenge. We recognise our role in supporting the global transition to a sustainable low carbon economy, and aim to lead by example in our own operations.

Our approach

We focus on actual reductions in our emissions by cutting energy use, transitioning to renewables, significantly reducing the frequency and carbon intensity of commuting and business travel and identifying future solutions that remove carbon from the atmosphere. Every one of our colleagues plays a part in reducing both the frequency and the carbon intensity of their commuting and business travel as we evolve new ways of working.

Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) methodology

We have verified science-based targets with the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi). Therefore, we have aggressive science-based targets for carbon reduction in line with a 1.5C pathway that address our Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions to reduce by 50% across all three by 2030.

Our journey to 2030

To continue our progress to achieving net-zero, we have adopted the following carbon reduction targets as validated by the SBTi which will support us in achieving our near-term target of 50% reduction by 2030:
