Experience
Andy has over 30 years' experience of working in both the insurance and legal sector, and his career has also covered a broad spectrum of experience in insurance litigation.
Throughout his career Andy has specialised in handling high value employers' liability (including industrial disease), public liability, product liability and motor (including MIB) personal injury claims. He has specific experience of the agricultural sector having worked for 20 years for NFU Mutual, prior to joining the legal sector in 1996.
He also has a long history of dealing with high value property losses covering all types of property losses.
Andy is an experienced case handler across all liability classes of business. Over the last ten years he has developed a niche practice area handling subrogated recovery claims on behalf of insurers and self-insured companies. He regularly handles high-value cases arising from all the standard perils as well as claims arising from breach of contract and the actions of negligent contractors. During this period he has acted for many major insurers including Lloyds Banking Group, Towergate, CNA Insurance and MSI Europe. He has also acted amongst others for BMW, Next and Cable and Wireless.
Andy has extensive experience of setting up surrogated recovery scheme for both insurer and self-insured clients incorporating an innovative approach to funding options and tailoring each scheme to best fit the individual client's requirements. He regularly presents training sessions to clients.
