FCA and CCA compliance advice requires a combined understanding of the technical legal issues and the wider requirements of being an FCA authorised firm, linked to an appreciation of the commercial factors which impact client activity.
Richard has experience in the full range of FCA/CCA work required by financial services clients, including: Start-up projects CCA compliant documentation Process/route-to-market development Dealing with intermediated market compliance (eg broker oversight) Handbook compliance Reviews of processes/documentation Complaints Breaches and remediation FCA reporting/disclosure.
Richard also advises an range of clients operating outside the finance industry requiring CCA and FCA compliance advice, such as insurers, manufacturers, retailers, Housing Associations, builders/developers, educational establishments and sports clubs. Richard has been a member of the Finance and Leasing Association CCA and Regulatory Reform Committees for 20 years.
He also assist the FLA with membership support on specific issues. In addition, Richard provides training on CCA related subjects, and is the author of Essential Motor Finance Law for the Busy Practitioner.
