Jon advises a wide range of clients on all aspects of private client law.
His work includes inheritance tax planning and succession issues generally, the preparation of Wills and Powers of Attorney, the creation and administration of Trusts and administration of estates as well as dealing with Deputyship matters, applications to the Court of Protection and planning for care fees.
Jon provides commercially-minded advice to business owners, high net worth individuals, trustees, executors and attorneys on a wide range of taxation and legal issues.
He has particular expertise in acting for high net worth individuals and business owners in relation to the private client issues that they face. He is commercially minded and prides himself on developing strong relationships with clients, colleagues and other professionals such as accountants, financial advisors and wealth managers.
Jon regularly delivers seminars for accountants, wealth management professionals and tax specialists as well as bespoke training for charities and property companies, relating to private client matters.
After completing his diploma in 2010 he became a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and currently sits on the North East branch committee. He is a member of the DWF CSR committee.
Outside of work Jon is a lover of football (and sports generally) and regularly plays golf as well as enjoying an interest in fine wine.
