Experience
She qualified as a Solicitor in Northern Ireland in 2011 and began her career working in Legal Aid private practice. She worked in the areas of family law, criminal law and Civil Litigation, before deciding to specialise in defence litigation.
She currently deals with predominantly defence litigation work, providing a high level of advice and assistance to major UK and Irish insurers. She deals with a broad range of litigation to include the following:
- Motor claims
- Industrial disease claims
- Public liability claims
- Employer liability claims
Ciara has a particular interest in credit hire claims in Northern Ireland and has grown the existing knowledge within the Belfast office in respect of same. She has provided training to instructing insurers in respect of case law developments and updates in the Northern Ireland market. She also provided a seminar to instructing insurers in respect of general differing trend in the Northern Irish market.
Ciara goes above and beyond for all clients and has experience in providing training on issues that arise in Employer Liability claims and the importance of the discovery process to client nomination firms on a pro bono basis.
