Event details
In late August 2023, when the Department for Education ("DfE") announced that more than 150 schools in England & Wales were facing immediate closure as a result of the safety concerns surrounding RAAC.
The reality is RAAC is not a new issue. With a design life of around 40 years, the safety implications of RAAC in buildings has been known for some time. Whilst there is no register of buildings that were built using RAAC, it is known to be widespread in the public sector - hospitals, schools and other public buildings -as well as some private sector buildings.
Despite the headlines, there is no need to panic. Join DWF's online RAAC session, to hear from Construction experts who will cut through the noise and discuss practical pointers and next steps.
