Alongside our suite of products, we support our clients with a number of technical and IT services.
These are on demand services and resources that are available via the internet.
They tend to be hosted by third parties (e.g. DWF 360), and can drastically reduce IT costs because there is no need for you to own or maintain the physical hardware that the services run on.
The main cloud service models are:
DWF 360 has extensive experience of providing Cloud Services to a variety of businesses and industries. The main products we provide are:
The rental of cabinet space in a data centre for servers and other hardware owned by a business. Typically the colo provides power, cooling and bandwidth. The security of your system benefits in two key ways; Firstly, your system is physically safer by being inside a data centre which is better protected from fire, floods theft etc. Secondly, you are technologically safer by handing your data or servers behind data centre firewalls. One of the main advantages of being in a colo is the reduction in capital expenditure for these services. Find out more about our Data Centre partner Redcentric here. – link doesn't work online
Cabinet Space Rental - We have dedicated cabinets based in a data centre we are partnered with. This is available to rent so that you can host your own equipment.
Fully Managed Servicesl - Remove the need for expensive software or hardware purchase and maintenance by letting us take care of it all. Our fully managed service means we take care of both cabinet space and servers/networking equipment, so you can concentrate on your core business.
Desktop and local network support are where our core expertise resides and is a service we have been providing since DWF 360 began. We have a wealth of experience with local computers, laptops and servers meaning there is very little which will surprise us.
An infrastructure environment is hosted by a third party (e.g. DWF 360 ) and made available to you over a network. IaaS guarantees high availability, and resources can be scaled to meet your requirements without delay.
You get the services and storage you need without having to own and maintain the physical equipment. Other benefits include:
At DWF 360 we provide IaaS using our data centre partner, Redcentric. Once the IaaS platform is in place, we can either manage the services for you, or you can manage it yourself.
The benefits of Fully Managed Services with DWF 360 are that we would:
In a Self Service environment, you are responsible for all of the above.
Networking allows different computing devices to communicate with each other and share data. They can be connected using physical cables or wirelessly.
Local Area Network (LAN) - These are used in most homes and businesses to connect computers, printers and routers etc. Wireless devices can also be added to a local network, and this is referred to as WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network)
Wide Area Network (WAN) - These are networks that span a large geographical area connecting cities or countries.
Our skilled technicians have a wealth of networking experience including the setup, management and configuration of:
Local Area Networks / Wireless (LAN / WLAN) - From businesses with a handful of devices to larger enterprises with hundreds of devices, we have experience in maintaining networks and ensuring they are fully functioning. We manage everything from liaising with the Internet Service Provider (ISP) to get access to the internet, to IP address distribution (which allows devices to communicate) and configuring network shares allowing users to access data stored on the network.
Firewalls - Firewalls are used to protect networks from unauthorised access. They monitor traffic attempting to come in and out of the network and either block or allow that traffic based on a set of security rules. They can be installed as a physical piece of hardware or as software (for example a PC). Our experts will manage and maintain your firewall and ensure that your network is as secure as possible.
VPNs / Secure Remote Access - Many companies have a requirement for members of staff to access their office network from remote locations. The most common method for this is to use a Virtual Private Network (VPN). A VPN creates a secure “tunnel” into your office so that remote workers can access resources on the network as if they were physically in the office. Security is a huge factor when configuring a VPN and we can ensure that both the office side and the user side of the “tunnel” are secure, along with any data sent across the VPN.
Domain and DNS Hosting / Configuration - Almost all companies have a domain that they use for their website and email e.g. www.dwf360.com / firstname.lastname@example.org.
Domains need to be configured so that when users browse to the website or send an email, they get to the correct place. This configuration is done using DNS (Domain Name Services). We manage all Domain / DNS configuration requirements you have from end to end, including the purchase and setup of brand new domains.
Networking Consultancy and Health Checks - We complete a detailed survey of your whole network which identifies any potential risks, speed issues or security flaws present. Upon completion we will provide a full report detailing what needs to be done to eradicate these risks. You can either take this report and implement the changes yourself, or we can assist you if you don’t have the in-house knowledge or resource.
Microsoft’s online version of their Office Professional software suite. It combines Exchange (for email), SharePoint (for documentation storage) and Skype for Business (for instant messaging, video and telephone calls) all as an online service.
Flexibility, Accessibility and Reliability - Office 365 gives your staff flexibility and accessibility at all times by allowing simple collaboration from any location with an internet connection. Microsoft guarantee 99.9% uptime in their SLA, so the availability of your services is no longer a worry.
IT Cost Savings - Implementing Office 365 also brings huge savings on your organisation’s IT costs. Maintenance, hosting, powering and cooling of physical infrastructure is no longer required. There’s also a saving on the costs of software and licenses as you no longer need to pay the high costs associated with Microsoft Office products. Office 365 uses pay-as-you-go pricing per user, so you will only ever pay for the services you use.
It’s So Good, We Use It Ourselves - We’re speaking from experience when we talk about cost savings and ease of use. The benefits are so good we use Office 365 here at DWF 360.
Migration, Configuration and Management - Remove the hassle of configuration and migration by passing it to our experienced professionals. We will configure and manage your online portal and migrate all of your email and documentation into the Office 365 environment.
Full Support Service - If required, we can provide on-going support post migration. We can manage everything on your behalf from user/account management, investigating document or mail flow issues and restoring data from backup. As we have the technical expertise, if there is a need to contact Microsoft, we will liaise with them for you, so you don’t have to.
Remote Desktop Services (formerly Terminal Services) enable users to remotely access desktops and applications that typically run on a high spec server within a data centre.
Save on Hardware Costs - Because all your applications are hosted and running within the virtual desktop, the computer processing is done by top-of-the-range servers rather than a local computer. Using RDS gives businesses the ability to roll out inexpensive computers that are only required to process the initial connection to the RDS environment. The rest is done by the RDS servers.
Security and Consistency - RDS helps with standardisation and security as users logon to a standard desktop. The desktop includes a set of applications and users cannot install additional applications themselves. This reduces the possibility of viruses or malware being accidentally introduced to your network.
Efficiency and Control - For administrators, applications can be quickly installed or removed from the RDS servers which makes managing and maintaining the user environment much easier. It eliminates the need to install and/or update programs on potentially hundreds of client computers.
Access Anywhere, Anytime - RDS also gives users the ability to access the same desktop from multiple locations via multiple computers/devices (e.g. iPads, tablets, home computers etc.). As a user’s desktop is hosted in a central virtual environment, an office worker can login to the virtual environment from their home computer and they will see exactly the same desktop, documents and programs as they would in the office.
DWF 360 will take care of the full migration to RDS for you. We will survey your current network and put a plan together for building and migrating your data into an RDS environment. We have vast amounts of experience configuring and managing RDS environments and we have been using them on a daily basis since the release of Server 2008 R2.
You will be aware that security is one of the vital aspects of your IT. Whether it’s protection from viruses and malware or data deletion/corruption, it’s essential that you are protected.
While security has to be top priority, there are other areas of risk to be aware of. Machine and hardware faults, human error, equipment being lost or stolen and natural events such as flooding can all impact your business.
Having the right security systems in place to avoid these events means you can relax in the knowledge that your data is fully protected. This gives peace of mind to both you and your customers.
Backup / Disaster Recovery. What would happen if essential data was wiped from your system? Every business has critical data that must be recoverable in events such as data deletion (malicious or accidental), data corruption, fire or theft.
Draw on DWF 360’s expertise for advice on secure data back up and disaster recovery. We can advise on the best practice procedures to have in place in the event of a critical or full system failure to get you back online as quickly as possible.
AntiVirus / AntiSpam - Protecting your network from viruses, malware and spam is an absolute must for all businesses. We work with a number of leading AntiVirus and AntiSpam vendors to provide complete protection for you and your network.
Server Monitoring - <./strong>In order to ensure all systems and services are running as expected you need to keep on top of what’s happening with your servers. Server monitoring can help predict potential failures enabling you to work proactively to avoid them.
Having worked with many different monitoring systems, we have a wealth of experience to draw on. As a result, there is very little that will surprise us. We monitor our customers’ servers (and our own) in real time so any potential issues are spotted and dealt with before they become a problem. As an extra precaution, we manually perform daily site checks on all customer sites.
The use of virtual resources such as servers, switches and storage, as opposed to physical devices.
In a traditional server environment there are several physical servers with different roles. With virtualisation these servers run on a single server as individual virtual machines. These virtual machines appear and behave just as physical servers would.
Save on IT Costs - One of the main reasons for moving to virtualisation is to reduce the amount of physical equipment needed, which brings down the costs of hardware, power and cooling.
Reliability and Flexibility - Virtualisation also provides high availability, and the deployment of new servers is much easier and quicker than in a traditional environment.
VMware/Hyper-V - Two of the main virtualisation technologies are VMware and Hyper-V. The most popular is VMWare as they were one of the first companies to offer virtualisation and Hyper-V is the Microsoft equivalent. We are experienced in managing and maintaining both products, with live environments using both VMware and Hyper-V.
Simple Transition to Virtualisation - If you are looking to move to virtualisation, our professional Transition as a Service (TaaS) team can make this a straightforward process. We will assess your business needs and requirements and provide tailored options for streamlining your business. Once you have agreed on the plan, we will perform the transition for you from start to finish.
Simple, straightforward, hassle free.
