Experience
Emma routinely works alongside partners on a range of catastrophic injury cases, which include brain injuries, amputations and chronic pain cases. Emma also manages a caseload of sub-catastrophic employers' liability, public liability and road traffic accident claims. Emma works on cases involving injuries of the utmost severity, often involving complex liability and causation issues and in some cases, exaggeration and fundamental dishonesty.
Prior to joining DWF, Emma worked on high value personal injury claims on behalf of the Claimant for a number of years. She worked at a large regional practice where she focused on employers' liability claims. Emma therefore has an interest in employers' liability cases and a keen eye for liability, causation and contributory negligence issues in liability claims.
Emma is passionate about diversity and inclusion and co-chairs the Mentorship Steering Group of Black Women in Law, a national network of black women within the legal profession. Additionally, Emma sits on the committees of the Next Generation Insurance Network (NGIN) and the Young Professionals' division of the British Insurance Law Association (BILA). Emma is also completing the Certificate in Insurance through the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII).
