We regularly advise insurers at all stages of the claim cycle, from initial advice, through restructuring and to dispute and recovery. The size of our team means we are well equipped to handle disputes of all sizes.

What we do

Our team are instructed by London market and international clients to act on matters spanning a range of jurisdictions. We have recently advised on losses and pursued recoveries in Russia, Armenia, Singapore, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Venezuela and Nigeria, amongst others.
We have a breadth of experience across all of the preferred dispute resolution forums for this class of business, in the Commercial Court in London, the London Court of International Arbitration, and in arbitrations under the rules of the ICC and UNCITRAL.
Uniquely in this market, our team also has a very strong reinsurance practise, which spans political violence, political risk and trade credit programs as well as those in other classes. This makes us very well equipped to handle disputes with local cedants, when they arise.

We have extensive experience in reviewing and drafting policy wordings, as well as with the other commercial agreements and arrangements in this class such as restructuring arrangements.
