DWF in Poland appoints Ewa Lewandowska as leader of commercial leases and management contracts

12 January 2026
DWF, the global provider of integrated legal and business services, has appointed Ewa Lewandowska as its leader of commercial leases and management contracts within the real estate team in Poland.

For many years, Ewa has advised both landlords and tenants on the leasing of commercial space, particularly in the office, retail and logistics sectors. She represents clients throughout the entire lifecycle of lease relationships, including the negotiation of new agreements as well as ongoing matters related to their performance, amendment and renegotiation.

In her new role, Ewa will be responsible for providing ongoing support to clients in relation to commercial lease agreements as well as management and operator agreements. These arrangements are gaining increasing importance not only in the hospitality sector, but also as alternative and complementary legal solutions in the office and PRS markets. Her work will also include advising on structuring arrangements that combine traditional leasing models with operational elements, which are being used more frequently in commercial projects in response to evolving market conditions and investor expectations.

The DWF real estate team in Poland, led by Joanna Wojnarowska, is experienced in all aspects of commercial leasing. They advise on lease agreements, fit-out and design contracts, related arrangements, and client representation in disputes. The team assists with both individual properties and complex real estate portfolio transactions.

Commenting, Joanna Wojnarowska, said: “We have observed a clear evolution in the way commercial real estate is used. Clients increasingly expect advice that goes beyond traditional lease agreements and takes operational aspects into account. Ewa’s appointment as Leader of this area is a direct response to these needs and a natural step in the development of our practice, built on the team’s many years of experience in complex leasing projects.

With strong expertise in market standards and the practical needs of both landlords and tenants, DWF’s legal team assists clients in establishing consistent lease frameworks throughout their real estate portfolios. This standardisation plays a vital role in optimising asset management, facilitating streamlined lease negotiations, and ensuring efficiency during legal and commercial due diligence for real estate transactions.
