Alongside his role as partner specialising in insurance law at DWF in London and a past Master of the Worshipful Company of Insurers, Graham will support the Sheriffs and Lord Mayor in their duties as a member of the Lord Mayor and Sheriffs' Committee, itself originating in the mid-16th century. This includes active participation in trade delegations, coordinating events, and hosting the principal guests of the Sheriffs and Lord Mayor.
Graham is required to attend the installation of the new Lord Mayor of the City of London and attend upon him the following day for the Lord Mayor's Show. Graham then attends the Lord Mayor's Banquet on 13th November. During this event, the new Lord Mayor will host the government and the Prime Minister will deliver his annual 'Mansion House' speech alongside the Lord Chancellor and the Archbishop of Canterbury.
Reflecting on his recent nomination to serve on the Committee, Graham Dickinson said: "I am truly honoured and delighted to have been asked to work with Sheriff Masojada and the Lord Mayor's team. It's an exciting opportunity to contribute to the tradition of this historic role and help promote the UK as a global hub for the financial, insurance and professional services industry.
"I look forward to working alongside and collaborating with Sheriff Masojada and Sherriff Dame Susan Langley in our civic duties and fostering strong relationships within our community."
