Experience
Stratos has 20 years' experience in fraud and personal injury work in the UK (having initially qualified in South Africa). He has handled all types of claim and has worked with insurers to formulate a common approach to low speed impact claims. Stratos has researched, spoken and written extensively on this subject. He led a new business unit dealing with higher value complex fraud claims and helped to determine strategies for challenging and countering fraudulent behaviour.
In addition to operational roles and new product development, he has previously assisted with marketing strategy and publications, has led technical committees as well as being responsible for training and thought leadership in general insurance.
Memberships
Stratos has previously been chair of the Fraud Sector Focus Team on the Forum of Insurance Lawyers (FOIL) and is the current national secretary. He is currently sitting on the liability sub-group of the Whiplash Steering Committee at the MOJ and also on the Education and Training Committee of Medco.Publications
Stratos has co-authored "Fraudulent and Exaggerated Claims in Personal Injury", a technical reference guide for lawyers and claims handlers, published by XPL Law in 2006.
