He has extensive expertise in counter fraud and claims validation, with experience in defending suspected fraudulent insurance claims including motor claims, employer's liability, public liability as well as first party fraud.Prior to moving into insurance fraud, Miles specialised in shipping law both in the UK and South Africa. He is legally qualified in both countries.
He has a keen focus on strategic litigation and the technical aspects of counter fraud litigation. He has run numerous cases to successful outcomes and have worked closely with a number of clients in understanding their counter fraud philosophies and developing appropriate strategies. He has successfully managed and mentored teams of lawyers to develop their skills and expertise and built exceptional working partnerships with client teams.
Miles provides training and support to clients and regularly speak at fraud forums and briefings.
Outside of work Miles enjoys food and travelling. He also enjoys outdoor pursuits such as hiking and cycling. He is a rugby fan and having dual British/South African nationality means he supports both countries which occasionally poses a dilemma!
