Charlotte has practised in the healthcare sector for over 18 years specialising in the defence of all healthcare professionals and other regulated professionals.
Charlotte acts in the defence of professionals facing fitness to practise investigations, criminal investigations, Inquests, Trust disciplinary investigations and hearings and Deanery procedures.
Charlotte predominantly acts on behalf of insurers and indemnity organisations and also undertakes inquest work on behalf of Trusts, instructed by NHSR.
Charlotte has defended individuals from the commencement of fitness to practise investigations through to appeals in the High Court and notably acted for the Defendant doctor in the Cohen case which changed the way in which procedurally, the GMC/MPTS assess fitness to practise issues.
Charlotte is an advocate at Inquests, Trust disciplinary hearings and Interim Orders Tribunal hearings. She is also police station accredited which facilitates the representation of clients at the police station.
