DWF starts 2020 with six senior appointments

DWF, the global legal business, has appointed four partners and two directors to its corporate, real estate and regulatory teams, across UK and international offices.
Edoardo Betto joins the expanding Dubai office as a corporate partner, with a focus on the Saudi Arabian market. Edoardo will provide corporate counsel to clients across the UAE and Al Khobar, KSA. He joins another senior appointment from DLA Piper in the corporate practice, John Campion.

In the UK, John Campion joins DWF's Birmingham office as a corporate partner. John is a highly experienced M&A and public markets lawyer and specialises in all types of corporate finance work including mergers and acquisitions, takeovers, capital markets transactions and cross-border reorganisations for multinational corporates.

Gerard Pérez Olmo joins DWF-RCD in Madrid. Gerard is the first partner to join the newly integrated business since DWF's acquisitions of RCD in December. He brings more than 20 years' experience specialising in competition law. Gerard also has vast experience in regulatory law, having worked across the energy, healthcare and transport sectors.

In Ireland, Fergus Henessy joins DWF's fast-growing Dublin office from ByrneWallace as a partner in the real estate practice. His work includes advising clients on the purchase, sale and refinancing of commercial property, on all landlord and tenant matters and acting for lenders and borrowers on secured lending transactions.

Imogen Makin joins the business as a director and head of financial services regulatory investigations in London, specialising in regulatory investigations into financial institutions, in particular banks and insurers. Imogen joins from Allen & Overy.

Katharine Mason also joins the team as director after two and a half years of being the director of regulatory and legal affairs for Proprietary Association of Great Britain (PAGB), the consumer healthcare association. Whilst at PAGB, Katharine was a board director of the Advertising Standards Authority's sister organisation, the Committee of Advertising Practice (CAP). Katharine specialises in food and advertising regulation and compliance.
