DWF renames in-house chambers

16 November 2022

DWF, the global provider of integrated legal and business services, has renamed its in-house chambers, formerly known as DWF Advocacy, to DWF Chambers.

The name change reflects the diverse offering of the team, which operates as an in-house chambers, with a dedicated clerking team, reducing cost and making communication easier for clients. DWF Chambers is led by Stephen Pritchett, who joined DWF in late 2020 to head up the team.

Unlike traditional chambers, the ‘in-house’ nature means members are able to draw on deep and broad sector understanding, from across DWF, in particular in the insurance, education and public sectors.

The team is well-versed in the full range of personal injury and disease litigation, including high-value catastrophic injury litigation and specialist areas such as asbestos-related disease cases and insurance fraud. Additionally, through specialist sub-teams, a number of team members hold particular expertise in the fields of professional indemnity, commercial litigation, employment and costs.

DWF Chambers offers the following:

  • In-person and remote hearing attendances
  • Drafting pleadings
  • Advisory work
  • Mediations and ADR
  • Seminars and training

Stephen Pritchett, Head of DWF Chambers said: "This new naming convention is vital to making DWF's in-house alternative to the external Bar and traditional chambers a progressive and accessible option for our clients in a competitive market."

Sir Nigel Knowles, CEO of DWF Group plc, added: “DWF Chambers, along with our other Connected Services, is at the forefront of our Group differentiated offering, assisting in fulfilling our vision to become the leading global provider of integrated legal and business services.
