DWF named a leader for Responsible Business

08 October 2025

DWF, the global provider of integrated legal and business services, has been recognised as one of five leading law firms for Responsible Business by Lamp House Strategy, a consultancy providing insights on the legal sector.

The report presents findings from an analysis of the responsible business activity carried out by 150 leading law firms.

This is third annual Lamp House report, and builds on progress made across the legal sector. DWF is delighted to have been named as one of the leading firms in each edition of the report, and to be working collaboratively on responsible business with many other firms.

In the last 12 months, DWF has continued to make progress in delivering its ESG and Sustainability commitments, aligned to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Highlights include publication of a Pathway to Net Zero, with the Group committing to reach this goal by 2045. A key element of the pathway is the innovative carbon sequestration project, the DWF Forest. DWF is prioritising a 90% emissions reduction target, with the firm’s residual 10% emissions accounted for by the forest.

Commenting on today’s report, Chief Sustainability Officer Kirsty Rogers, said: “I am incredibly proud that DWF has once again been recognised as a leader in responsible business. One of the heartening findings from this year’s report is that responsible business strategies are becoming increasingly embedded within the legal industry, making permanent change more likely.

“It has always been our goal to make ESG & Sustainability central to the success of our business and our stakeholders. Collaboration on sustainability and responsible business is critical to deliver the Sustainable Development Goals in particular SDG17 – Partnership for the Goals and we look forward to working with Lamp House and other firms on this agenda going forward.

“This year we will undertake a full review and update of our strategy, through an engagement exercise with our stakeholders. This will ensure we maintain our commitment to leadership and excellence on ESG, while keeping pace with existing and emerging standards, expectations and future disclosure requirements.

“Congratulations to Taylor Wessing and all of the law firms recognised by Lamp House. Achieving meaningful change is a collective effort and we should celebrate success in this area.”
