DWF extends lease in iconic Walkie-Talkie building

25 October 2024
DWF, the global provider of integrated legal and business services, announces that it has extended its tenancy at 20 Fenchurch Street until 2034.

It is also investing in its space in the building, more commonly known as the Walkie-Talkie, through a full reconfiguration of its 32nd floor working space to better suit the vast majority of its colleagues who follow a hybrid working pattern.

DWF was one of the first tenants in the Walkie-Talkie when it opened in 2014, and its London office has gone from strength to strength since then. London headcount has increased by around 70% in the past decade, with 21 new partners recruited in London in the past two years alone.

To better serve its colleagues and clients, DWF is investing in a comprehensive reconfiguration of the 32nd floor, which has a total of 28,911 square feet. The work will create a more open, modern and flexible working environment, along with a new client suite. As a result of these improvements to the 32nd floor, DWF has relinquished its space on the 31st floor.

This move is consistent with the firm's global workplace strategy of having high quality office space configured to suit modern ways of working. It follows office moves or refits in Edinburgh, Bristol, Newcastle and Liverpool.

London managing partner, Jonathan Moss, said: "I am delighted that we have committed to the Walkie-Talkie and are making significant enhancements to our working environment. It is no secret that working habits have changed markedly over the last few years, and we are taking this opportunity to use our office space more effectively and efficiently. We are growing quickly in London, attracting talented colleagues who are strengthening our offering and we are looking forward to working together in our new and improved workspace."
