DWF successfully tackle unsavoury and disreputable practices

Ad spoofing and layered claims are two issues plaguing the industry. DWF have recently secured two results, which highlight the team's technical ability and expertise to tackle both.

In our first article, Claire Barnes comments on a successful collaboration with Aviva to secure favourable outcomes, for a number of their customers who had unwittingly fallen victim to an unethical spoof ad. 

Layered claims are a serious threat to the industry and drive claims inflation. Claire Senior obtained an order for costs against an ENT medical expert, whose conduct was described as a "wholesale failure". The expert had not examined the claimant, as he had implied in his report. DWF successfully made an application for the expert to pay the defendant's costs at £16,000.
